Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
JAMES 4:10

humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant ] in the presence of the Lord,  and he will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant]
                   amplified Bible

God does not do for you what He has given you the ability,  privilege and command to do. He expects you to rise up and be responsible for the advancement of your Christian life.  Do not fail His expectation; learn the virtue of humility and live it out daily.
  The virtue of humility comes into play when you constantly recognize God as the source of your success and promotion.
It doesn't matter how much energy you have expended in building
Your success;  acknowledge God as  the one responsible for your achievement and He will honour you more (psalm107:31-32)

Furthermore,  you can exhibit humility by submitting to his call. When you give your life to Christ,  you are ceasing from your own understanding and surrendering to God. That is why God treats the born again believer with honour. "...for them that honour me i will honour,  and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed "(1 Samuel 2:30)

Where you position yourself determines what you will attract. Jesus stripped Himself of His glory in order to save the world;  fulfill His God given assignment .
At the end he regained glory  and earned a name and reputation higher than that of any other.

THE VIRTUE OF HUMILITY IS PRICELESS

Prayer :
Lord,  i submit to you in humility.  I let go of my own understanding to obey your word and to give you all the glory.
