List of foods for bright eyes.

Brighter, whiter eyes is not a function of chance, it can be gotten by a great diet rich in foods that focus on the health of the eyes.

Milk and cheese: Dairy contains zinc that can reduce the chances of deterioration of the synapses and nerve endings of the eyes. It can also prevent the development of cataracts.

Food rich in vitamin A: vitamin A is popularly known as the “vision vitamin”, promoting whiter, brighter eyes. Vitamin A protects the cornea and helps to keep the eyes moist. Vitamin A rich foods include cod liver oil, beef liver, salmon and other oily fish. In fact, taking fish oil supplements can suffice for a vitamin A diet.

Food rich in vitamin E: vitamin E is an antioxidant, which means that it helps to clear oxidative reactive species like hydrogen peroxide that hasten the degeneration of the cells in the body. Since the nerve endings ion the eyes are especially vulnerable, Vitamin E helps to protect them against damage from age, environmental pollutants, and waste products of the body.

The eyes are the light of the body, and so protecting them should not be taken for granted.
