The woman pictured left below is Hajia Dada Yar’Adua, the matriach of the Yar’Adua family. She was married to Musa Yar’Adua, a former Minister.

Her son, Shehu Musa Yaradua, was Vice President from 1979-1981. Another son of hers, Umaru Musa Yaradua, was Governor of Katsina State for 8 years 1999-2007, and later President of Nigeria 2007-2009 when he died.
Her grandson, Alh. Murtala Shehu Yaradua, was a Minister between 2009-2011. Three of her granddaughters were wives of Governors of three different states.

Man beaten to death for peeping at naked woman in hotel.

Newsmen reports that the incident happened at the popular hotel known as T. Lounge located at Oladunni Street by Council Bus Stop in Idimu, Lagos.

The hotel has temporarily been shut after the family of the victim identified as Diolu deposited his corpse inside the hotel and attempted to burn it down while protesting over the murder.

It took the intervention of the DPO, CSP Oliver Ezerim, who deployed the police officers that retrieved the corpse and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report. The police then arrested Adebor and detained him at the police station for the alleged murder.

Newsmen  scooped that Adebor brought the unidentified lady to the hotel for a sex romp when she went to ease herself and had altercation with the late Diolu.

She went and reported to Adebor that the deceased came to where she was urinating and was peeping at her private part. In anger, Adebor immediately confronted Diolu and they had an exchange of words.

In the process, Adebor carried a stone and hit Diolu on the head; he collapsed and bled profusely. The management rushed Diolu to an undisclosed hospital where he eventually died before the doctor could revive him.

The death sparked a protest before the police intervened and restored peace in the area. The police also stationed two patrol vehicles and armed officers to prevent further breach of public peace.

When our correspondent visited the hotel, it was shut as customers and visitors were not allowed to gain entrance.

At the Idimu Police Division, the DPO was not around to comment on the matter when our reporter visited the police station.

However, the suspect, Mr. Adebor was seen detained in the cell as sources at the police station confirmed the incident and said that it was a case of murder which the Division had no jurisdiction to investigate.

The police source said that the suspect will be transferred to the homicide department at the SCIID Panti, Yaba, for further investigations as the autopsy report was being awaited to determine the cause of the death.

Residents who spoke to newsmen expressed shock over the death and lamented that since the incident happened on Sunday, there had been tension in the area and businesses had been grounded due to fear of possible arrest by the police.

Everything descended into chaos, my wife, who had gone through a terrible pregnancy and birth had to experience this immediately after birth, It was horrendously traumatic for her.

My in-laws quickly tell the doctor to carry a DNA test immediately, after the result comes out, am the father of the twins baby.

Since then, have not allowed my mother to come around to see my kids have told her to forget me as a son. I Don’t want to see her again.

Few months after, my wife keeps begging to forgive her but have a vow that nothing will ever happen between me and my mother again. Did I do something wrong?

Boy stabs female classmate for saying she ‘only likes him as a friend’.

A schoolboy has been reported to have repeatedly stabbed a female classmate of his allegedly because she had ‘friendzoned’ him.

The unnamed girl, 14, was stabbed nine to eleven times in a school assembly on August 16, on the first day of term at Luther High School.

The victim told police on Wednesday that a boy at the school attacked her because she told him she wasn’t interested in a relationship.

Luther police chief David Randall told NewsOk:

“There was one point where he approached her in reference to try to have some type of relationship, to which she said she wasn’t interested in it.

“She said she liked him as a friend not anything more and that they remained friends.”

Despite being turned down, the attacker continued to slip notes into her locker asking her to go out with him.

Police chief Randall added that the victim had no idea the 14-year-old boy held any ill will towards her and that the vicious attack came as a complete surprise.

Rumours that the attack was motivated by bullying were also denied by the teen victim who said that she had never talked badly about the boy.

The girl was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following the gruesome attack, but has since been discharged from hospital. She has not yet returned to lessons.

The Priestess who stated that Nyame must accept the pregnancy and promise to marry her after she had delivered her baby, reversed the curse after the pastor accepted the conditions.

This is coming after another Ghanaian man of God, Prophet Nana Poku, sparked controversy on the internet after videos emerged where he engaged a woman in a long French kiss, and later claimed he had healed her of an ailment.

While other church members looked on, Prophet Poku is seen in the 28 seconds video footage kissing the woman deeply while one of the church elders kept shouting: “Yes Lord, Yes Lord.”

The incident has been causing a lot of debate with many saying that God can deliver a sick person using any unorthodox manner while some believe the Prophet is fake and using demonic powers for his healing.

According to reports, they dated only for three weeks before he allegedly killed her.

Motorists lament as N470 Million Niger bridge collapses

Motorists and commuters were stranded for over four hours on Friday following the collapse of a bridge in Dangana in the Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.

The people condemned the government for abandoning the structure which had reportedly gulped millions of naira.

Findings show that the bridge contract was awarded in January, 2017 at the cost of N470m by the state government to ease the suffering of motorists and commuters in the community.

Northern City News gathered on Sunday that the project contractor, Soject Nigeria Limited, abandoned the site following the failure of the government to pay the balance of N77m.

A driver, Adamu Lapai, told newsmen that the government was playing politics with the bridge, noting that the failure to complete the facility was causing untold hardship to the people.

“Government is extremely insensitive to the plight and the suffering of the people. If government had paid the contractor the balance of the contract sum as at last year, he would have completed the bridge by now,” he explained.

“Because of the forthcoming general elections, we learnt that the government has released N77m for the completion of the project. Honestly speaking, if they fail to complete that bridge before the election, God knows they will not get one vote from Gulu, Lapai and other communities,” Lapai added.

The motorist, who spent over four hours on the bridge, added that “There was no financial commitment on the side of the government and that was what made the work to stop thereby inflicting suffering on those using the bridge.”

The Village Head of Dangana community, Yanusa Abdullahi, said that motorists and commuters were going through difficully on the bridge, noting that farmers could no longer take their produce to the market.

“People of my community and others that make use of the bridge are suffering a lot; at times they find it difficult to take their farm produce to nearby villages or towns to sell due to the collapse of the bridge.

“Without that bridge, farmers cannot go to the market to sell their farm produce. We are appealing to the state government to speed up the construction to ameliorate the suffering of the local farmers of Dangana,” Abdullahi stated.

He said the temporary diversion created by the construction company was not helping matters as vehicles were getting stranded inside the river.

The Project Manager, Suject Construction Ltd., Milad Jarbanda, gave the assurance that the bridge would be completed in 10 days.

Man kills mom for breakfast

A man whose name could not be ascertained as of press time on Wednesday allegedly killed his mother over disagreement on choice of food for breakfast.

A family member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told PUNCH Metro that while the mother was preparing yam porridge for breakfast, his son said he preferred noodles.

He said, “An argument ensued over the choice and the mother went on with the preparation of the yam porridge for breakfast.

“But shortly after that, pandemonium ensued and when we rushed to know what happened, the man had killed the mother in the kitchen.”

Another family member, who also declined to be identified, said the man had been having issues with his mother.

He said, “The shocking incident happened this morning (Wednesday) after a disagreement.”

“The son killed his own mother while she was cooking and abandoned her in a pool of blood.

“The police authorities have been alerted to the development by neighbours.”

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Haruna Mohammed, said he would find out about the homicide.

In a reply to our correspondent’s text message to him on the issue, Mohammed replied, “I will find out.”

They called his wife and family and they refused to give consent to be transfused cos they are Jehovah witness, they doctors tried all they could, according to reports the pastors and others stayed put and refused.

Where my heart shattered is that,I learnt bros was begging his family to help save his life, he asked they give consent , they refused and said Jehovah will save him if he wants.
His younger brother tried but the moved bros out of the hospital to the one owned by JW….. The younger brother is just a young student so he couldn’t do much to help his brother.

Abdullahi Abubakar a 29-year-old was arrested for defiling an 11-year-old girl, behind ECWA Church, Barkin-Sale in Minna, Niger State on July 11th, says he loves the little girl because she is so beautiful.

Abubakar who was paraded before newsmen, confessed to have had sex with the little girl over three times

“I love the small girl, she is so beautiful that I can’t let her go without making love to her as she always submit to me and I have been making love to her; At least, I have done it more than three times.”
